Welcome all! Papa G here.
Today I present a creamy and delicious low-carb treat. My Orange
Cream Cheesecake. This light and fluffy dessert recipe has a great
orange taste and comes in with less than three and a
half net carbs per serving. Perfect for that low carb diet.
Let's get started. Line the bottom of a nine inch
springform pan with parchment paper. Use kitchen shears or scissors to cut
off the excess. Set this aside as we work on our crust.
Add one and a half cups of almond flour to a mixing bowl.
Sweeten with a granulated sugar substitute equal to 2 tablespoons of
regular sugar. Use a whisk to mix the sweetener into
the almond flour. Pour in four tablespoons of melted,
unsalted butter. Combine together with your hands. It should feel damp and crumbly like you
see here. Pour this into the springform pan.
Press down with your hands to evenly distribute to the edge. Place this in the middle of a preheated
300°F oven for about 13 minutes, or until it becomes lightly golden in
color. Remove and let cool as we work on our
filling. We'll need the zest of one medium orange.
Use a zester and gently remove only the very top portion of the orange.
We don't want the bitter white, only the orange part.
One medium orange will net you about one
to two tablespoons of zest. Put this in a small bowl and set it
aside. Add one and a half cups of heavy cream
to a mixing bowl. Add one drop of yellow food coloring gel
and one drop of red. Beat with an electric mixer until fluffy. Store the whipped cream in the
refrigerator as we continue to work on our filling. We'll need some unflavored gelatin
powder like this one.

Empty one envelope of the gelatin powder
to a measuring cup or bowl. Slowly whisk in one cup of boiling water and set aside.
Add eight ounces of cream cheese to a large mixing bowl. Sweeten with a granulated sugar
substitute equal to one cup of regular sugar. You can use a spatula to cream together, but I find it a lot easier to use the
electric mixer. Add in the orange zest and some orange flavoring. Give a mix to combine. Now add in the gelatin water and give
another mix to incorporate. Use a spatula, if necessary, to scrape
down the sides. Add in the whipped cream. Use the mixer again to blend together. Our crust is nice and cooled now. Pour the filling into the pan. Give a little shake and a tap to evenly
distribute.
Place in the refrigerator for at least
three hours to set. Run a butter knife around the edge to
loosen. Gently remove the ring. Serve cold. Garnish with some whipped cream and a little orange zest. Deeelicious! There you have it folks! My Orange Cream Cheesecake. A light and creamy low-carb treat. I hope you enjoyed this video. If you did, please like and consider subscribing.
