- Four-ingredient
no-bake date bars, the perfect snack to
satisfy a sweet tooth. Even better than Snickers. Come with me. (upbeat music) They have only four ingredients. We're starting
with Medjool dates. We're gonna go ahead and
put the dates in here, which are already pitted. Food processor
fitted with a blade. We're gonna turn these
pitted dates into a paste. (food processor whirring) All right. They're starting to
get nice and sticky, so I'm gonna see where we're at. Your dates have
turned into paste when they've all clumped up
into this one big sticky ball. This is an
eight-by-eight lined pan, and you wanna work
with wet hands. Get my hands a little bit wet. So now you go in and you're
going to flatten the paste to cover the bottom of the pan. And this will be the
base for your date bars. Next is tahini paste. Tahini is a sesame seed base. It is so good.
If you thought that peanut
butter was something, you're gonna have to try tahini. Adding some crunch
with walnuts here. A nice layer of walnuts. All we have to do now is
stick this baby in the freezer for a couple hours. All right, it is fully settled. And just put it on
your cutting board here and just pull the parchment off And we're gonna cut it up. Make some small squares. Honestly, these are great as
a three-ingredient situation but wait until we
add the chocolate. To melt the chocolate, we're just gonna
create a double boiler. We're gonna wait for
some water to bubble here and then we're gonna add our
chocolate in this big bowl. And we'll let it kind of melt
using the heat from the water. And what you wanna do is just keep moving
the chocolate about. You don't want any
part of it to burn. You can manage the heat
down if you need to and then just kinda
give it the TLC it needs for the chocolate to fully melt.

Okay, so prepare a tray,
line it with parchment paper. Make sure that the bars are
kind of spread a little bit so they're not touching. Bringing in the
chocolate goodness. You can dunk these
guys in the chocolate but I found after experimenting that it's just easier to
drizzle the chocolate on top. Some people just like to cover the whole thing with chocolate. Great. If you wanna see the
walnuts, leave a little bit. However you wanna do this. No chocolate left behind. We're gonna stick these
guys in the freezer for about half hour or so.
And that's really it. Rich, chewy, just enough
sweet, loads of good stuff. Mm! You are going to love these. And if you're looking for
more ways to use dates, check out my banana
walnut bread next. I will see you later. Ciao..
