Hi everyone, it's Maya
from WholesomeYum.Com, and today I'm showing you how
to make almond flour biscuits. These keto biscuits are super buttery. It's one of my favorite things about them. They have this awesome, delicate crumb. You're gonna absolutely love these. Okay, so this is gonna be one of the simplest keto
recipes you've ever made. You only need five
ingredients to make these or six if you count the salt, and they're ready in less than 30 minutes. If you love easy keto
recipes like this one, ones that don't have a lot of ingredients, ones that are quick to make, I post recipes like this all the time. So subscribe to my channel
and you'll be notified, you'll be the first to
know when they're up. So, let's talk about the
almond flour real quick. This is the star of our keto biscuits. You can't make almond flour biscuits without the almond flour, and you're gonna wanna
pick up a bag of this.

The almond flour you use does matter. If you didn't know this, almond flour comes in
different consistencies, different moisture levels. The one that's the Wholesome
Yum brand is really fine. It's gonna give you that perfect texture in your low carb biscuits. I'll link down below
where you can get this. You can get this on Amazon,
you can get it on my website. Both places are a great place to get this. And once you have this, all the other ingredients
you need are super simple, you can get them at any grocery store. Now that we have that out of the way, let me show you how to make
these almond flour biscuits. Let's do this. (lighthearted guitar music) We're going to start by
lining a large baking sheet with parchment paper. This one is a nice size,
not too big, not too small. I'll link the one I use down below, but any sheet this size will work. Now, we're going to make our dough. Start with two cups of
Wholesome Yum Almond Flour, and we're going to add two
teaspoons of baking powder.

Make sure your baking powder
is fresh, and gluten-free if that's important to you, and add half a teaspoon of sea salt. Now we're going to whisk it all together. I like to use the whisk
instead of a spoon or spatula. This way, you can get rid of all the lumps and your dough is going
to end up nice and smooth. We're gonna set that aside and now we're going to
whisk two large eggs. Crack them into the bowl and then whisk. We want these to get nice and fluffy. Set that aside as well. Now we're going to measure out the butter. You need 1/3 cup of butter. That's gonna be five
tablespoons plus one teaspoon. So most sticks of butter have
little notches on the outside, showing the tablespoon measurements. So you're going to cut five
of the tablespoon measurements and then cut about a third
of those for the teaspoon, for a total of five
tablespoons plus one teaspoon. We're gonna place the butter
into a bowl and then melt. You can melt it in the microwave or in a double boiler on the stove top.

Up to you which method you prefer. If you need to, you can
also use coconut oil for a dairy-free option or
ghee if that works for you, but the flavor and texture of the biscuits will be slightly different. Now we can add our wet
ingredients to the bowl with the dry ingredients. You'll add 1/4 cup of sour cream. Omit that if you want dairy-free biscuits, add the melted butter,
and add the whisked eggs.

You can whisk those fresh a little bit right before you add them in. Then, use a spatula to
just mix up the batter until it's nice and smooth. Be sure you get all the
dry flour along the edges, and you can just keep folding and mixing until it's all uniform. Now, we're gonna use a cookie scoop and add scoops of the batter
onto the baking sheet. Be sure these are about two inches apart because they will spread a little bit, but not as much as traditional biscuits, so don't worry about that too much. This is a super basic
low carb biscuit recipe, but if you wanna get fancy, feel free to add other things to the dough before you scoop it. You can add rosemary and garlic, Parmesan and Italian seasoning, or make 'em a little spicy with cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, you can even add a little cheddar cheese. Feel free to get creative, but I'm keeping it super simple here. The cookie scoop allows us to
get really uniform biscuits, that means they're gonna cook evenly.

Once you've placed all the
biscuits onto the baking sheet, gently pat on top of them to
flatten them a little bit. They're not going to spread or
flatten too much in the oven, so you wanna make them the
thickness that you want once you're done. If you like, you can even
flatten these a little more. That way, you'll make little
low carb bread rounds, but the baking time will be
less, so just keep that in mind. Bake these in the oven for
about 15 minutes, give or take. Check on them a little
bit before they're done, just to make sure they're ready once they're firm and golden. These keto biscuits are
delicious right out of the oven, but I like to let them sit
for just a minute or two. That way, they firm up a little bit more, they're less likely to fall apart. It really improves that inner texture.

It's pretty much been a couple of minutes as I've been saying this. So, I'm gonna go ahead
and move these to a plate. This recipe makes about 12 biscuits, but sometimes you get less,
I actually got 11 this time. It kind of varies depending
on how you scoop the dough. If it's more than you can eat at one time, you'll be glad to know these
are super freezer-friendly. You can freeze them for several months or you can store them in
the fridge for up to a week. I can't wait to show
you the inside of these, they are so buttery. Here we go. Look at that. (upbeat music) That was so good. I wish I had something to
serve these with right now. They go so well with soups or salads or your cup of coffee in the morning. I wanna know what you
like to serve these with. Leave me a comment and let me
know what your favorite way is to serve these almond flour biscuits.

And if you make these,
be sure to snap a photo, post it with #WholesomeYum
so that I can see it. See you next time on Wholesome Yum where I show you easy,
