Today I had gone to meet my friend. We met after such a long time. We had a great time, did a lot of talking. But in that one topic went on stretching for a long time. SO I thought I will share it with you also. My last video in which I shared with you my skirt and top which is about 10 to 15 years old. So I got received so much love from you all for that video. Thank ou so much for that. But inthat video, there were so many videos like how I reduced the weight? What did I do? And today also the conversation, the reason I told about the last video, was also the same. So I thought let me share this with you. See, what happens is that whenever anyone asks this question, trust me, we all will know that how to lose weight.
This is not any rocket science that do exercise, eat healthy, eat few things and avoid few things. So even I can give you that standard answer that do exercise, do this, do that, eat and don't eat. But I thought we all know this answer and we know this from years and not that we came to know about it now. Theer have been loads of videos on this topic and so much knowledge has also been distributed. So I am not giving you that knowledge.
Let me talk to you about me. I mean I will tell you about my weight loss journey. I will tell you the most difficult part in my weight loss journey and how I could overcome it. The most difficult part during the weight loss journey, here I am not talking just about me but those who want to do weight loss or already on the weight loss journey, they will all agree with me.
The most difficult part was the journey of starting weight loss. The day on which you plan to start your weight loss was the most difficult thing to bring in your life. We will be used to a very comfortable lifestyle. And then you will have to change that lifestyle 365 degree. As usual, human nature does not like changes. So even my story was the same. I never liked the change but that day came and it was a random day, not any special day. It was a random day.
I woke up, dropped Kangana to school downstairs. It was morning around 6.30 am. I came back and if it was my regular day, then I would come back and sleep and wake around 9.30 later and eat a good breakfast. But that day I did not do that. Yes my inner voice gave me a call that its okay Meghna, you can sleep now. Kept saying you can start it from tomorrow. I always used to get this inner voice and always listened to it and went back to sleep. But that day I said a "shut up" to her. I will not listen to you today. And I removed my shoes from the shoe rack which was full of dust piled from years. I removed all that dust and wore and went off to walk. That day I felt, though I started from 67 kgs, I felt after walking like I have already lost 5 kgs. Because it was very difficult for me to start off. And I had kept on postponing that not today many be tomorrow or day after or now there is a family function. So finally that was the day I just started off.
I walked for 20 mins. It was difficult to walk for 20 mins but I did. There is a saying "Well Begin is Half Done". It means you have started that means half of the victory has been achieved already. And even I felt exactly the same. After returning from walk, I felt like I have won and already lost 5 kgs. So started with the walk and now it was turn to eat healthy food.
Kangana's snack box with Aloo Parathas was lying in front of me. If it was my normal day, I would have lifted that paratha and eaten it with tea. But that day I stopped myself from that also. I again shut my inner voice and didn't pick the paratha. And I said that I will drink a healthy smoothie today. I am very used to the morning tea and so I didnt stop from drinking tea, I drank my tea but yes, compromised with the paratha. And then I prepared a smoothie and drank.
I felt again wow, I have lost another 5 kgs. By myself, because of the healthy choices which I was making. I was feeling very good. This was my day to day changes I did. It might sound very easy when listening to this. But trust me, if you ask someone who is trying to start this will tell you how difficult it is. Then it would that we socialise or have get togethers, the main attraction at the time is of course food. Club get togethers or hotel parties, the main purpose is to have food together. Making healthy choices even there as all know you and they know what food you like and what you will eat.
SO making them understand there that from now I am not eating this food and I used to carry my own food and used to carry my box. And also to mae sure that I am not insulting you but I have just started off on a new journey and I need your support in this. So please accept that I carry my food and you do not feel bad about it. So thsi was the start of bringing changes in the people around me. That I change their mental condition and this would sound very simple to you but it was not at all easy.
And in our house it would be that everyday at night friends would come over and they would come at night 10 and sit there till late night 2 and would have chitchats. There would be tea and snacks and food and to bring the change there that I will not be able to continue all this because only if I sleep early will I wake early and I will be able to go on walks. It was very difficult to bring this change also. The main aim to make thi video and give you the message is that anyone can give you the normal bookish knowledge but the most difficult part is the beginning. And it was very tough especially for me. Today people around me, my friends, my family all have understood it but making them undestand in the beginning and in fact making myself understand that I have started the journey and so do not stop it, was very difficult.
So even you need to be mentally strong, do ask everyone what they do whhat exercise, what food but by asking all when we say that this I will do from tomorrow is not the right thing. The day to start is today and start from today itself. And as soon as you start, you will have the result in front of you and then you do not need to tell ayone that which exercise, which food or which diet plan. Then you can see for yourself what change has come in you and then you are sure to inspire people around you just like me.
