We're making three ingredient cookies that
will be ready in 15 minutes, let's go. I love a good cookie recipe with just three
ingredients and I love the fact that I can add my own spin to it too. Now tasting these they
remind me of a shortbread cookie because when you bite into them they've got that almond crunch and
they have the same crumbly texture. Now this is the basic recipe and you get a beautiful looking
cookie and of course I had to put my own spin on it too so I'm going to show you all kinds of
variations and hopefully your imagination can run wild. Let me show you how easy these are to
make. Add one cup of almond flour to a bowl and a half cup of powdered sweetener. Using one egg at
room temperature separate the egg white from the yolk and lightly whisk the egg whites then add it
to the dry ingredients. Do set aside the yolk for now, we are going to use it as an egg wash later.
All right mix all the ingredients together.
You can do this using a spatula or by hand until
you have a bowl of slightly sticky dough. Roll out the dough between two sheets of paper to
about a quarter of an inch thickness and now you can shape the dough however you like. You can
slice them into squares or rectangles or quite simply use a cookie cutter like I'm doing here.
When you have run out of rolled out dough gather all the off cuts and roll the dough smooth again
and repeat the process of cutting out the cookies until you have very little or no dough left.
Place
all the cookies onto baking or parchment paper and give the yolk a little whisking and then lightly
brush onto the cookies giving them an egg wash. If you're using an airfryer you would also place
them onto baking or parchment paper and apply an egg wash. Bake in a preheated oven at 390
degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes and the same with the airfryer,
and you want to let them cool after they have been baked. You could leave them as is or
give them a sprinkle of powdered sweetener. Aside from this basic recipe you could do so
many variations and add your favorite flavors. Perhaps add a teaspoon of cocoa powder to half
of the dough and then proceed with the method. Roll out the dough cut out the shape and add
chocolate chips on top or perhaps a pecan in the center and that to me is so pretty,
yet simple. Here I added poppy seeds to a plain cookie and press that in and what
about some Nutella cookies, just a teaspoon of my sugar-free Nutella and mix that in and if
you want the recipe to add a link should appear in the top right corner of your screen now.
Okay
next I rolled out the dough and pressed in a few hazelnuts. For something more complicated
you could cut strips of different flavors, run your rolling pin over the dough to connect
the strips and cut out your cookie shape. What about stars, and if you make a hole at the top
you could hang them on your Christmas tree for an edible decoration. Here they all are and the bake
time was the same for them all just 10 minutes.
Now I thought these cookies were really fun
and simple to make. What a fun idea to do it with the kids or have a kitchen party. By
the way in our next video we are going to do a one minute mug pie. Why have a whole pie
when you can just have a mug pie right. Thank you so much for watching I will see you
in the next one, stay safe and be well..
