Spain throughout the year has got wonderful fresh
vegetables and fruits but summer is the best time for tomatoes i am going to show you today three
recipes two made with tomatoes another one with watermelon that i think you will love i am using these big tomatoes called Montserrat. they are really big. you're not going to slice them you are just going to
cut them in big chunks most of the Spaniards really like to eat this as a starter or when have something to drink, they like to have the salad on the side. this is
super easy but it's also extremely good! Cut into big chunks.
it's very uneven but that's what will make it delicious! Use
a green young onion. They don't taste as strong as the normal normal
ones. Cut in thin
slices from up to down and add it to your salad this will give you a wonderful taste and also
will not be too strong a flavour so the flavour of the tomatoes comes out. in Spain they sell this lovely
tuna either in olive oil or in water.
This
one is in olive oil. they are really big chunks so it's very nice when you
add them to salads. it looks good and it's really good i really like it here in Spain, i just love our life here, i'm very
happy in Spain. i recommend putting
one or two leaves of a basil but not too much because you want the taste of the tuna
and the taste of the tomatoes to come out Add some salt some pepper. For
olive oil, you have a lot of choice . i take mine as extra virgin olive oil, it tastes absolutely wonderful. so there you have a very healthy lunch and to be honest so good! so with this in mind we're going to do the same thing again using similar ingredients which will be tomatoes and
tuna but i am going to use a different type of tomatoes because we are going to puree it .I am
using these tomatoes that are grapevine tomatoes i am going to get rid of the skin
i'm using this , it has little teeth please don't forget that i am putting in all of
my recipes the carb content for each recipe.
I have got a detailed description of the carb content
down below you just click on the little button that says more and then you will have all the
ingredients and the carbohydrates. for this third recipe i am going to
mix sweet it's not really what i
do, but it's like a sweet salad i am going to mix watermelon with roquette salad. First, i'm going to put roquette salad into the dish and then cut the watermelon
now this is too big for me so i put half and then i take the longest
bit you want the bits to be quite
thick, around 2cm wide now you know who loves watermelon?
My dog! so fresh as well it's just lovely, mix it
with the salad. Add the good fats
because i have not put the good fats pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. A little bit of olive oil .I am using balsamic vinegar don't worry
about the index glycemic index of the watermelon. It has a high glycemic index but the glycemic load is low You can eat and not
worry about it.
thank you so much for watching please don't forget to like and subscribe
