Chaab's Sweet Macaroni Salad This classic macaroni salad doesn't have. I made this for a catered wedding and it got rave reviews. I added summer sausage olives cubed cheddar cheese and substituted the one green pepper with half of a green and half of a red pepper.   1. Prepare of Pasta mixture.
  2. It's 3/4 box of of 32oz elbow macaroni.
  3. It's 1/2 large of red onion diced.
  4. Prepare 2 large of celery stalks diced.
  5. Prepare 6 each of hard boiled eggs(egg whites chopped).
  6. It's 12 each of vlasic sweet midget pickles(pick large ones in jar) diced.
  7. It's of Sauce mixture.
  8. It's 1 can of 14oz of sweetened condensed milk.
  9. It's 2 cup of of mayo.
  10. It's 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar.
  11. You need 1/2 cup of sugar.
  12. It's 1 tsp of of salt.
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp of pepper.

Sweet Macaroni Salad - seriously THE BEST macaroni salad EVER!! I took this to a potluck and it was the first thing gone. Can make this ahead of time and refrigerate overnight. Elbow macaroni, red onion, green bell pepper, carrots, sweetened condensed milk, mayonnaise, cider vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.

  1. In large pot boil macaroni until done,drain and rinse in cold water..
  2. In small pot put eggs cover with water and little bit of salt. Bring water to a boil,remove from heat and cover for 10 to 15mins. Cut one in half after 10 mins to check yolk. Leave the rest on for 5 more mins if not all the way done..
  3. Dice red onion,celery,and pickles. chop eggs(peeled of coarse) =0),set aside. I only use the egg whites because I don't like the texture of yolk in mac. salad..
  4. For the sauce in a medium to large bowl put milk,mayo,vinegar,sugar,salt and pepper,whisk until smooth and mixed well..
  5. In large bowl combine macaroni and all diced ingredients that were set aside. Pour sauce over and mix slowely with large spoon until evenly coated. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving. Longer left in the refrigerator the better..
